馬來西亞城市

本文是马来西亚的大城市（City/Bandaraya）列表，收录标准都有“市政厅”或“市政局”的地方政府規格，但是有些地方仅有“市议会”或特殊地方政府机构（例如布城管理局）。其他基础单位被分类为市镇（Municipality/Perbandaran）或镇（Town/Bandar）。截至2025年，全马有20个建制地方被正式命名为市，其中17个位于马来西亚半岛，3个位于东马。

地方政府升级为市的条件是必须要有至少50万人或以上及每年有至少1亿的收入。 以下为馬來西亞获得市政局或市政厅资格的城市：

吉隆坡、古晋、亚庇、莎亚南、马六甲市、亚罗士打、美里和关丹的城市资格由马来西亚最高元首颁布，怡保、新山、依斯干达公主城、芙蓉市、梳邦再也和巴西古当由自州的苏丹颁布。马六甲则在2003年被宣布为历史城。槟城的地方政府则由自己州宣布。

吉隆坡是马来西亚最大的大都市和都会区。新山也是马来西亚第二大的都会区。同时位于北部的乔治市是马来西亚第三大都会区的中心区域。其他超过五十万人口的都会区包括怡保、古晋和亚庇。
