根据联合国教科文组织（UNSECO）1972年制订的《保护世界文化和自然遗产公约》，世界遗产是指对全人类有重要文化或自然价值的遗产项目。羅馬尼亞於1990年5月1日接受公約，该国自然和文化遗迹因此有资格列入《世界遗产名录》。截至2024年，羅馬尼亞有11項世界遺產，其中9項是文化遺產，2是自然遺產 。

聯合國教科文組織根據10項標準收錄世界遺產，入選的每個世界遺產必須符合至少1項標準，其中第一項（i）至六（vi）項為文化遺產；第七項（vii）至第十項（x）則為自然遺產；同時符合文化及自然遺產標準的為複合遺產。順序按入選年份排列。
